For those who don’t know NaNoWriMo (Or National Novel Writing Month) is a challenge that takes place over the course of the entire month of November. During which time, thousands of writers attempt to write an entire first draft of a novel (50,000 words). in just 30 days.
For someone who takes months to write books, I decided this would be an amazing challenge for me. It’s something I’ve wanted to try in the past, but I’ve made excuses and not taken the time.
This year since I’ve put Until You down until further notice, I spent the last two weeks of October prepping for NaNoWriMo, came up with a story, wrote an outline, made character descriptions, and got myself PUMPED.
Anyway, here’s a brief synopsis of my story, I hope you guys like it, and I can’t wait to win NaNoWriMo and share this story with the world!
Guinevere (Quin) Ward has long ago accepted that she is a witch, but that doesn’t mean she tells people about it. In fact, the only living person who knows is her brother, Marc, who’s as mundane as the rest of her adopted family. When her dad takes a new job, the family moves, and Guin starts at her new school, she’s immediately captivated by Isobel Holland. Isobel is popular and well liked by her peers, but she has a secret, too—she sees ghosts.
When the two are contacted by the same desperate spirit, they join forces to uncover the mysteries that tie them together. Guin has thought that she was the only one who could see the dark, hooded figure that’s followed her her entire life, but now that Isobel can see him too, Guin’s afraid her time to hide has run out, and Isobel might be in danger, too.
